About Mitchell
Originally from Detroit, Mitchell resided in Southern California for decades. A career keyboardist/guitarist/producer, he toured as keyboardist and music director of 80s synthpop act Berlin (“Take My Breath Away”) from 2000-2007.
Following his stint with Berlin, Mitch joined up with AOR rockers Survivor, where he got to play super-extended versions of “Eye of the Tiger” for the fine folks of Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, and other states beginning with the letter I. Below with guitarist Frankie Sullivan and vocalist Robin McAuley (who is a prince among men). Inexplicably, he is wearing the same tie as in one of the above photos.
In 2011, he relocated to Las Vegas, performing in numerous projects including 80s band, The Nancy Rayguns. Pictured below looking oddly serious, with a blonde Kim lurking back there!
Other Vegas bands included all-request rock-and-roll band Droids…
Mitchell's original music has been featured in film and TV, including Jersey Shore, Burn Notice, Monk, and other unwatchably bad fabulous TV fare. He even has a fanciful BMI award for the theme song of a Lifetime show you’ve ever heard of! (Angela’s Eyes, if you must know.)
Mitchell has released a number of original records over the years including synth-pop project Celebutante, and more recently, the space-rock epic Outbound. In case you made it this far, you can read more at mitchellsigman.com.
